The crushed stone technique is a Kate Koel signature — rather than using a single faceted gem, tiny fragments of genuine ruby are carefully set into resin within the ring's face, creating a mosaic of sparkling color. The effect is textural, dimensional, and completely unlike a traditional gemstone ring. Under light, the crushed ruby surface shimmers and shifts, revealing different tones of crimson, rose, and garnet depending on the angle.
